SPORTS FISHING LICENSES 2024

Fishing tools and equipment available with a BASIC ANNUAL or daily license/sports fishing license*:

• a maximum of two spearfishing guns;
• a maximum of two strings (free hook), (in Croatian: ODMET);
• a maximum of two fishing lines (in Croatian: KANČENICA);
• a maximum of two lines for panula fishing (in Croatian: PANULA);
• a maximum of two lines for panula fishing, with hooks on each line for cephalopod fishing;
• large device for hunting sea worms (traps), up to two (2) pieces.

*(This permit/license is for spearfishing and other fishing tools).

Special or special licenses for fishing:

*Special licenses for big fish (Big fishing) can only be purchased after purchasing a basic (annual or daily) license in the appropriate age category.

Other notes:

The holder of the permit/license is obliged to have with him the personal document specified in the permit/license for fishing.

The maximum daily catch is 5 kg of fish or marine organisms. Fish caught in sport fishing must be marked after the catch (e.g. by cutting off a part of the tail).

All types of fishing permits/licenses are valid until they expire or until the end of this year and are not transferable to the next year.

Example: a permit/license for up to 150 days means that it is valid for a maximum of 150 days or until the end of this year and is not valid for the next year.

The primary ANNUAL permit/license can only be purchased until March 1 of the current year.
